A Town Hall is a meeting, not a building. It’s a chance for us to talk about what matters in Hackney Wick. It’s not run by any party or business, but by and for local people. Join us to connect with Hackney Wick people, old and new, have a natter about what matters to you and share a bite to eat with your neighbours.

The next Well Street Common Neighbourhood Forum meeting will explore access to health and wellbeing services for young people.

Together we will find out more about wellbeing priorities for local families and the help available.

There will be opportunities to connect local families with a range of partners providing health services and supporting families in our neighbourhood.

A Big Local partnership is a group of at least eight people who guide the overall direction of Big Local in the area, most of whom (at least 51%) live locally. The Wick Award Partnership meet every month to discuss the impact of our activities in the area.

Join Hackney Herbal for an open afternoon at their garden in Hackney Wick in celebration of the equinox. They will be celebrating the transition from summer to autumn with nature-based craft activities for all ages using a mix of locally-grown and foraged plants. Free to attend. Funded by Wick Award.

On Sept 12th Trowbridge Seniors are in for a treat: bingo at 2pm and then a chance to meet the Sadlers Wells East team, who'll be delivering free activities in the hall this autumn. We're looking for a full house, so don't miss out!

Young Hackney are holding an open day at Eastway for local families to come and view the site and participate in some activities. The date for this will be Saturday 23rd July 10am to 4pm. Just drop in on the day to check out this lovely site for young families.

Chair yoga and mobility for older adults at Gascoyne 2 Community Hall. This class is slow-paced and gentle, combining mobility drills, accessible yoga flows, breathing and relaxation to create space in the body and ease in the mind.

We've teamed up with our friends Hackney_Bridge to organise a tea party on their lovely terrace overlooking the River Lea, on Tues July 12, 2-4pm. Cake will be served! Meet old friends or make new ones. Look through the archives + remember the area as it was. Book: 0748 232 0992.
