2021 Hackney Youth Awards open for nominations
📣 The nomination process for the Hackney Youth Awards 2021 is now open! 📣
All the awards given are decided by young people themselves, making this a truly unique event.
Have you worked with a Young Person aged 6-19/25 LDD over the past year that deserves recognition for their achievements? If the answer is yes, then nominate them for an award at the prestigious Hackney Youth Awards 2021!
Deadline: The deadline for nominations is Friday 26 November 2021, at midnight.
Young Hackney want to celebrate the amazing youth in Hackney and their wonderful achievements. The past year was a really difficult year, and they would like to acknowledge all the incredible accomplishments of all young people in Hackney.
Eligibility: These awards are for young people who deserve recognition for their progress and efforts, no matter how big or small. They might have overcome obstacles, developed new skills, attended your services regularly, or helped others in their local community.
Categories: There are six categories to choose from and as always you can nominate under Junior and/or Senior award. This year we have created some new categories:
Young explorer award for junior age only- this is to recognise the creativity, exploration and imagination of younger children.
Spontaneous act of kindness - this is to capture some of the amazing acts of kindness and altruism from young people during the pandemic.
Nomination form: Please read the guidelines on the nomination form carefully and return to elp@hackney.gov.uk by Friday 26 November 2021 at midnight.
Assessment: A Youth Panel will then assess and shortlist all candidates and decide on the winners.
Awards ceremony: All shortlisted young people, their families and the person who sent in the nomination will be invited to the Youth Awards ceremony which will take place on:
Thursday 27 January 2022 at Hackney Town Hall 6pm-8.30pm.
The event is attended by the Mayor of Hackney and includes food and entertainment.
