Hackney Wick residents are invited to the official renaming event for Kit Crowley Gardens. The details are:

✔️ Address: Kit Crowley Gardens (formerly Cassland Gardens), Hackney E9 7an.

This is an historic moment for Hackney as it's the first public space to be renamed as part of the review into streets, buildings and public spaces named after contested histories linked to African slavery and colonialism. There will be live music, speeches, light refreshments and bulb planting by children from Wentworth Nursery where Kit worked for over 30 years!
